The rumour mill is churning out information about the much expected 2011 Honda Gold Wing, with exciting details emerging about the new machine, an evolution of the EVO6 prototype seen at a Tokyo motor show in 2007. It is also rumoured that it may be launched earlier than was originally planned. Does this mean late 2009 or early 2010?

Either way, the technical specifications sound exciting: a 200cc jump to a full 2 L engine, twin overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder, Honda's variable cylinder management, a beefed-up Human Friendly transmission (Similar to the DN-01), an airbag system, ABS braking (Hopefully the C-ABS brake-by-wire system), GPS, electronic traction control, Bluetooth phone integration and an iPod compatible sound system.
