In an effort to increase its presence on the market, Ford has just announced plans to sell motorcycles within the next five years. We may even get to see a first concept by 2016.
Ford motorcycles will initially be available in select countries, and with positive results, could be sold at a broader scale, according to Nelson Fishburne, Vice President of Research and Development for the Pacific region.
Given the success of EcoBoost engines, Ford is reportedly working on a small-displacement version specifically for use in motorcycles.
We don't have much more information about the Ford bikes, but the company intends to rival Harley-Davidson and Triumph.
Some of the possible model names thrown around include Wild Cod, Dynamic Salmon, and Mocking Trout.
Oh, and one more thing: The entire team at Auto123.com wishes you a nice April Fool's Day!
