Hiroshi Yamada - Motorcycle Racing Manager - Bridgestone Motorsport :
"Although the last race result in Qatar was not our best this season, we were able to achieve our third straight pole position, and we were also able to confirm the positive steps we've made with tyre performance and durability at a track we struggled with the previous year. Now we look forward to Phillip Island, a circuit which is especially demanding for the left side of the rear tyre due to extreme heating. We have made modifications to the generation of tyres we have been using since Motegi, with 5 new specs of varying compounds and construction to tackle the demands of this circuit. The key point for Phillip Island will be finding the right balance between initial grip and durability, so it will be exciting for us to see how these tyres perform over the weekend !"
