Things to avoidDuring a threshold braking maneuver, remember not to fully extend your arms or your capacity to steer properly will be affected. Also, you should never apply the front brake first, which would excessively -- and perhaps fatally -- increase the weight transfer to the front wheel. Because applying the rear brake first is not a natural reaction, you have to train beforehand.
