by Guillaume Rivard , moto123.com

Jet boats are back, baby! A short while ago, we previewed the all-new 2014 Scarab 195, manufactured by Rec Boat Holdings. Today, we'll be focusing on the newly resurrected brand's largest, flashiest, most powerful, and most luxurious model: the 2014 Scarab 215 HO Impulse, a twin-engined 21-footer with plenty of room for any on-water activity.

Discover the 2014 Scarab 215 HO Impulse
While the base 215 and mid-level 215 HO produce 300 hp and 400 hp, respectively, the 2014 Scarab 215 HO Impulse uses twin 250-hp engines for a total of 500 hp. By the way, we're talking about BRP's Rotax marine engine, here. Expect top speeds of more than 100 km/h.

This 21’ boat can accommodate up to 10 people (maximum capacity: 680 kg, or 1,800 lbs). It weighs 1,406 kg, or 3,350 lbs, and comes standard with a custom-matched trailer on chrome wheels.

The 2014 Scarab 215 HO Impulse boasts very aggressive and sporty aesthetics, including a choice of three vibrant colours -- Laser Red, Vivid Green, and Sunburnt Orange -- with matching interior accents, giving it the ability to capture attention anywhere. At the same time, it offers a host of amenities for leisure and family.

Other 2014 Scarab 215 HO Impulse highlights
Up front, the wide bow with notched seating offers dual ComfortRide captain's chairs, plus an anchor locker with a hidden reboarding ladder. Of course, the heart of any Scarab boat is the exclusive Versa-Lounge convertible seating area, which offers three different seating configurations to enjoy the action on the water.

The 2014 Scarab 215 HO Impulse also features premium upholstery including a custom swim platform mat, stereo remote at the helm, cruise control, stainless steel cup holders and grab handles, a depth sounder, and a folding wakeboard tower with a black Bimini top. Options include a Scarab Smart Mat carpet and a ballast system.

At $57,010 USD, the 2014 Scarab 215 HO Impulse commands quite a price, but it will make every owner very proud and turn others green with envy (the company actually calls it “the boating equivalent of a trophy wife”). Its closest competitors include the Centurion Enzo SS210  and Yamaha SX210.
