2011 Quebec City Motorcycle and ATV Show: February 4 to 6

2-4-2011

by Pascal Bastien , moto123.com

Honda has brought back the diminutive CBR123R and is introducing the new CBR250R powered by a 4-valve, single-cylinder, DOHC mill and equipped with Honda’s famous Combined ABS system that increases safety and improves manoeuvrability.

ATVs and scooters galore
For 2011, Kymco is taking things up a notch with its Maxxer 450i. The Taiwanese firm’s new sport ATV features the latest evolution of the IRS chassis technology based on the MXU 375 utility model. The main improvement, though, is found engine-side: a 443-cc, SOHC, liquid-cooled affair featuring an electronic fuel injection system.

BRP is presenting its new Commander range of ergonomic, powerful and aggressive side-by-sides. As for Yamaha, the Kodiak 450 has inherited several characteristics that made its big Grizzly brothers famous, such as Electronic Power Steering and the Ultramatic CVT equipped with a primary oil bath clutch and a drive pulley that ensures constant belt tension.

Scooters are becoming increasingly popular in Canada, and no less than 17 manufacturers will be exhibiting their new-for-2011 models, spoiling us with choice. And don’t forget to stop by the stands of the various outfitters and touring, trail riding and track clubs as well as the driving schools, both beginner and advanced.
