2011 Kawasaki Jet Ski Ultra 300X Preview

6-28-2011

Electronic attack
The pervasive electronics bring a slew of refinements: cruise control, a fuel-efficient ECO mode, a learning/emergency mode that limits speed at 8 km/h and electronic throttle valve adjustment. The new dash has gone completely digital, with an LCD screen displaying the engine mode, water and outsides temperature, the time, trip distance and length and your speed.

As for ergonomics, the beast has inherited a narrower seat that allows the rider to comfortably stand as well as sit, and wider, height-adjustable handlebars that reduce effort and allow for greater liberty of movement. The Ultra 300X also includes lots of handy features, like a 78-litre tank and a massive 228-litre storage compartment, one of the biggest in the industry.

Safety first
The Smart Steering system monitors the difference between rpm and the speed of the machine. It keeps the rotor going slightly when you release the throttle, ensuring controlled turns no matter your speed.
