The 11th annual Montreal Boat and Water Sports Show was held at Place Bonaventure this past weekend and, according to the various exhibitors, the 30,000 visitors on hand showed significant interest in new models and technologies as well as the increasingly popular extreme water sports.

Most fans were under the age of 50 and came to pick up their dream boat, plan their upcoming summer vacations or simply gaze at the sea of marvelous products. Everyone seemed to revel in this temporary toy store, away from the cold reality of winter. Cruiser, kayak, sailboat, fishing boat and personal watercraft manufacturers looked just as optimistic, not to mention eager to fill their order books.

The overall success of the 11th Montreal Boat and Water Sports Show (January 28th to February 1st, 2010) foreshadows a terrific 2010 season. Enthusiasts are passionate as always, while manufacturers and outfitters expect this passion to translate into many more profitable months.
