2008 Kawasaki Ninja 250R Preview

5-9-2008

by moto123.com

This Kawasaki features a full dash with easy-to-read analog dials for bike speed, engine speed and fuel level. Also included are trip meters, an odometer and warning lights for neutral, turn signals, high beams, low oil pressure and overheat. This bike is optionally available with a single seat cover for a more aggressive look.

Serious design
Kawasaki's little thoroughbred is built around a new Diamond-type frame made of lightweight, high-tensile steel tubing for more precise handling and better control in all conditions. This machine was not merely designed for cruising: adequate ground and cornering clearance ensures maximum fun on twisty roads. It comes with a new 37-mm front fork with firmer settings, resulting in less pitching and improved stability. In the back is a new Bottom-Link Uni-trak rear suspension featuring a Kayaba shock with 5-way adjustable preload.

As for the brakes, the 2008 Ninja 250R has nothing to be ashamed of. Petal-shaped single discs (front and rear) allow excellent heat dissipation and contribute to the bike's top-class looks. Finally, the box-section swingarm includes tabs for an aftermarket race stand -- further proof of the Ninja's seriousness.

In short, the littlest Ninja is designed for those after a racy yet very affordable steed, one that can deliver true riding excitement. Sportbike enthusiasts who don't need an extreme machine with a top-class engine and radical riding position will certainly be satisfied with the all-new 2008 Kawasaki Ninja 250R.
