2008 Kawasaki Jet Ski Overview

Safety first
Kawasaki's Smart Steering (KSS) monitors the rider's steering input as well as the speed of operation and automatically increases engine speed to provide additional thrust. This advanced system, which only works at high vehicle speeds, can assist riders in learning to negotiate turns even if the throttle has been released and the engine has returned to idle.

Additionally, both the Ultra 250X and STX-15F feature Smart Learning Operation (SLO), which gives the rider the choice between limited power for easier training or full power for maximum fun. Selecting SLO limits top engine speed to approximately 5700-5800 RPM; Full Power Operation (FPO) restores normal operating engine speeds.

2008 Jet Ski 800 SX-R

Stand-up riding
Thrill seekers will be happy to know that the Kawasaki Jet Ski 800 SX-R with 2-stroke engine is back for 2008. This type of personal watercraft, now on the decline, has long been coveted by racers from all over the world. The 800 SX-R is the direct heir to the original Jet Ski, which was created by Kawasaki more than 35 years ago.

The 2008 model benefits from decades of expertise on stand-up watercraft. It's a true racing machine intended for experienced riders only. Having said that, the 800 SX-R also incorporates a number of features that make riding easier, not to mention greater room for your feet and a longer hull allowing superior riding precision.

The new Jet Ski models from Kawasaki boast a comprehensive equipment, decent comfort, performance levels that will meet the expectations of riding enthusiasts and several features that make water motorsports safer than ever. The Ultra 250X, in particular, adds breathtaking power, a semi-digital instrument panel and the largest cargo capacity in the industry (200 liters). Expect these machines to be a smash hit this summer.
